So which boxing magazine do you guys like when it comes to latest news, no biased opinions, best pictures, good reports, keeping you up-to-date, etc.?

I am planning to subscribe to The Ring, not sure yet.

I used to get Boxing Digest and it was ok. I am leaning more to Ring Magazine now. Whenever I browse it I like it.

Is Burt Sugar's magazine still out there?

BOXING MONTHLY is a great mag.I've been getting it for years.Im from the U.K so im not sure if you cant buy it off the shelves over aboard.I'd like to look at THE RING mag i've heard great things about that mag so much so it's been mentioned as the Bible of the ring game a few time.I've never seen it on the shelves over here though.

I used to buy the Ring all the time. They use to have a centrefold poster which were drawings of classic fights which I put on my wall. They had classic pictures of SRRvLaMotta, RockyvMoore, LoiusvGoody, JohnsonvKetchel. Did anyone else collect them?

I find the Ring is the least biased mag you can get (although it has it's faults still, seems to getting better as of late though)

everything else is a waste of time imo.

I did find the Ring very US centric and over emphasised the how great the older fighters were.

The ring is by far the best... I have gotten KO and a few others and it is simply great...

My favorite thing every year is the "official unofficial awards"

I've been getting the Ring for years. I also get Boxing Digest which is ok. I have some of the posters the Ring used to include in their issues. They were pretty neat. Burt Sugar's magazine was called "Fight Game." It wasn't bad, but only lasted a year if that.

Sugar had the best of all time Imo "Boxing Illustrated". I believe He sold It to Herb Goldman (??) and It became "International Boxing Digest",Still pretty good but the Flash back pieces and some of the in depth detail Is not there as it was.

The Ring is a staple but with DelaHypa Buying It Im afarid It will go the glitz and glammer route

Ring is always going to be the "Grandaddy" of boxing magazines so to speak and will usually be the most common one thrown out there but the old KO was a pretty damn good read itself...Boxing monthly is OK, Boxing Digest sometimes gets a little lost but

I subscribed to the ring for many years. In the 80's it was bought out and changed it's format. Before that it had more fight coverage and less stories. I personally liked the coverage. The stories made it like the People magazine of boxing. May recommend InternationalBoxingDigest. They are closer to the old Ring and have more indepth coverage of fights. They have a website. Try to google it and look their site over.
