LOL! harsh, When your younger your much more able to keep your stamina, keep fit, and don't give up, then when your old enough to go to a gym, go! Dont box without any tuition or you may pic up bad habits that are very difficult to get out of!

Be careful of using any weights because you'll still be growing and could permanently damage your skeletal structure.

Just out of interest, where do you live? uk? us?

Check out the other posts on the forum about heavy bag work, shadowboxing, and make sure you wrap your hands properly!

    Good luck!

Ok, I have no idea the age you have to be to go to a gym in Ireland, prob about 16, do you shadowbox?

What size weights are you doing?

    How tall are you?

I swear Gyms dont have age restrictions, but i could be wrong of course!

Dont practice at home till you learn the basics from somone who knows what they are doing aka a coach.
it doesnt matter if you cant go down there every week, hell if you only go twice in your entire life thats fine, but you need to learn the basics properly, otherwise your never going to be able to box!

as a general rule the only thing i try to pick up from pro's is fight stratergies or how to make openings, because evry fighter has a malfunction, or something they do wrong. you want to be origional, not somone else.

good luck and if you could provide Dave_Bandit and me with some basic statistics of your body we might be able to help you out

    OMG man!
how the hell do you do 4-8 kg a day in weights that doesnt make any sense. you want to be lifiting a constand weight for sets, and repetitions.

e.g. pick up your 8 kg weight (im guessing ) then lift it up and down 8 times. have a 30 second breather, then do it again. have afinal 30 second breather, and lift that weight till you cant lift it anymore.
each time you lift the weight its called a repitition (or a rep) and each set of 8 repetitions is called a set.

as for shadow boxing, once again you need to learn the correct stance, body placement and punches.
the idea however is to stand infront of a mirror (ideally although no mirror is still good). observing your guard to make sure its good, you start throwing controlled combnations. whenever you throw a punch you check in the mirror to make sure that there arent any gaps left open in your defense, and that its not obvious when you are about to punch.

other than that its hard to help you if you dont know the technique for the punches... you need to go to a gym young man!
