Default Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on PPV?

Can anyone tell me first of all how is Julio Cesar Chavez Jr the main event every time he fights, and also always on PPV.

I know his father is one of the most famous fighters on the planet but surely you have to justify yourself as a fighter (Which Chavez has certainly not) there are plenty of famous sons/family members out there who are not getting the same sort of treatment.

It's simple, there is an audience for these fights. Chavez sr. fans who don't follow boxing at all but will buy the Chavez name.

With very little investment(adverstisment) Arum makes good money off of these latin furry cards. So we should see a bunch more of the same thing.

We're seeing a bunch of Mexican prospects on the undercards, only a matter of time before they present us with something special so I'll pay

The name is selling the fights, not the fighter. They are able to keep him on ppv off of the wallets of loyal fans of his father. I've yet to see him fight live, i just wait for it to hit the net.

Amongst all the post you guys COMPLETELY missed amats post.
    Which gives you the answer.

Sr. created a fan base and that fan base longs to get to see him in the ring they never will again but they will pay anything to get the closest thing to him. What better way then to see his son who happens to be named Julio Cesar Chavez. They are milking the cash cow for all it's worth and they will continue to do so. Arum said in an interview that the revenue hes making with Jr. is great busines and he's getting back about 3 times what he's investing per bout. If you notice some of these fights are taking place at little bull ring venues and small citys in Mexico where it doesn't cost much to put a card together.

This is the business side of the sport that a lot of people dislike inlcuding myself...
