Colds
On a normal day I do a hundred push ups (2 x 50)
150 crunches, 60 side crunches each side, 60 leg raises
And then a bunch of dumbell exercises
That is my basic strength training, I usually have one or two days off from that a week depending on how I'm feeling.
Condition wise, twice a week I try and run 5km or go to the gym for a boxing class 3 or 4 times a week. I don't do a run or go to the gym on the same day.
On Saturday, the missus and I were having a few days away on the south west of Western Australia and I went for a 30 minute run which was pretty challenging because it was through some beach sand dune tracks, lots of steep hills and head winds.
That night I started to feel a tickle in the throat but nothing much came of it, energy levels were a little low. I did no exercise til Tuesday when, as it hadn't got any worse, I decided to go the gym for a good sweat. I ran, skipped and sparred a few light rounds.
Now it is Thursday night and the cold has well and truly kicked in, I feel like shit and have done no work since Tuesday night!! The way I'm feeling it'll be Saturday at the earliest before I feel like working out again. Just when I was starting to feel like my fitness was getting to new levels, a cold!!
That's it really, end of rant. Just really bummed by this.
