I got to watch the 90s dynasty team there all the yewars they won the World Series, which was nice. I'm going to buy some of the seats when they auction everything off and stick them in my garden.

The new stadium cost 1.3 billion dollars. 1.3 billion. I would love to take a poop in there.

Theyve modified it as much as they can, they cant tweek it any more, and it isnt generating the revenue compaired to the other new stadiums.
I still think its a sin to get rid of a place where both Joe Louis and Babe Ruth walked like gods

The Tigers have been out of Tiger Stadium for like a decade now and they've just gotten to tearing it down.

The Yankees have to pay the rest of the Major League teams tens of millions of dollars every year in a luxury tax because they have such a high payroll. But by building a new stadium they can use a loophole to use all the luxury tax money to pay for the stadium. So they're not paying millions to other teams and they get a free stadium which will be a much bigger revenue earner than the current one, more corporate hospitality etc.

    Tell me about it.....

I almost cried, when I first read that the Olympic Auditorium was sold to some religious group.

The Olympic where soooo many legendary fighters fought and sooooo many legendary fights were held.
