    Default Moral Quandry

Im putting together a gym logo(with mucho help from Sourpuss, worship her) I have no real connection to my father and my wife isnt particularly close to her mothers side, but we are including family crests(coat of arms) in the gym logo.Is it wrong if we exclude her mothers family and my fathers from the logo?

Nope not wrong really. A Coat of Arms belongs to the family name(s) not to just one person in the family.

It is yor choice to include or exclude them into the design.

Simple, there are four family names, all have crests,Lippincott,Lubaczewski,Mang and Hoffman
    Leslie feels closer to Lippincott
    I feel closer to Lubaczewski
Mang and Hoffman are the odd dogs out,but I didnt know if it was right to include the first two,and exclude the other two in the gym logo

Why the need for any family crest?

In that case put all four of them in the logo.

But to me Pride has nothing to do with it, nor does Heritage.

If I bought the gym without family help then it would be my wife's gym and mine. And as the owner, the choice of logo design rest with me and my wife.

BTW, I currenly have over 350 living members in my family. Not sure how many family crest there are, but would make an awfull big logo with all of them on it.

Ghost is right, if its a heritage thing put all four of them on the logo as your closeness to them is irrelevent, as you said yourself it doesn't change the fact that your a blood relative to a saint

Are you putting the Saddo crest on there? I mean it's not where you come from, but it is where you are now

Wasnt really joking on that part,Saint Leopold is my great great Uncle.
Which only goes to make a great case for nurture over nature
He was a short monk who would eventually be Sainted
Im a tall Agnostic who has often sinned

My opinion? Take the moral high road, and don't exclude family crests based on personal issues. Sometime down the road you might regret not doing so, who can tell how family relationships might turn out?

Meh,I decided since Sourpuss was nice enough to try and put it together for us,not to toss extra work on her
Its not like Ive talked with anyone with the last name Hoffman in over 20 years anyway, the last contact I had with my fathers family was passing along word that if I ever so much as saw my sperm-donors face again Id cave it in for him
