What a joke, beaten in less than 15 seconds by a light heavyweight who stepped up at an hours notice

    What a pussy

I always wondered what would happen if Kimbo and Brock Lesnar fought, now I think Lesnar would absolutely ruin him

He didn't even get hit on the jaw or the temple, he just went down :S

i just wonder why Bas was hanging on to him...seems like a waste of time. he did in fairness seem to have an issuse with hi seye, i would not be surprised to hear a claim of a poke in the next couple days.wonder what his opponent got paid?

Bas is the kind of person who knows what he's doing in the business and he wouldn't train someone.

He will probably chalk this loss up as taking the fight on an hour notice against a more experienced fighter then Kimbo when he was preparing for shamrock.

14 second loss is embarassing. But if he bounces back it would be better for the sport.

It doesn't prove someone is legit then if he comes back from a loss.

That said Kimbo seemed to be there for ratings mainly. I'd like for him to bounce back with Bas but i think the TV has done what they wanted with him. Like they did with charles bennett

anyone ragging on kimbo for that loss knows nothing about mma.

every guy in the history of the sport has been caught with a shot like that. for kimbo, it just so happened to come at 14 seconds.

4 oz gloves make those types of losses a very real possibility.

    kimbo got caught. big deal.

I do agree pretty much, MMA is nothing like boxing where one loss can end a career.

It's rare in MMA for a fighter to go even 5 fights undefeated let alone build protected records of 30-0 like in boxing.

Hell the next UFC event is headlined by Bisping who lost a couple fights ago versus Chris Leben who must have lost 3 of his 5 or something.

I personally think it's all the better for that, you want to fight in MMA you have to fight the best fast, no padding records and I'm sure Kimbo will bounce back.

At the end of the day he destroyed former heavyweight champ Ray Mercer and former favourite Tank Abbot, plus got a credible win over the dangerous (but notoriously chinny) James Thompson.

Still not bad for a street fighter.

Kimbo really needs to step it up now, he can't just come forward the way he does in street fights. now that his been ko'ed his going to be a lot more easy to be ko'ed. Von is right it happens to anyone and anyone can get caught, but its also true once you get ko'ed your easier to be ko'ed next time around. Kimbo needs to really learn MMA now. His career is on the line, it would be sad for him to have to go back where he was before the youtube discovery.

Yep, he just got caught BUT Seth is not can. To be honest he is a very solid fighter and has been around. To anyone who knows MMA it would have been kinda surprising if Kimbo would have won.

I thought Kimbo looked nervous and uneasy (rightly so...i doubt he had any choice but to take the fight). Didn't want to touch gloves, maybe trying to un nerve his opponent. In all honesty though he did get caught BUT Seth Petruzelli is a solid fighter...he is no Ken Shamrock (who is now shot to bits)

Well done to Seth for stepping up at such short notice.

Yea good work by Seth, and he is a solid fighter. his ko percentage is 70%-80%, kimbo just didn't know he had power like that. Kimbo should of never rushed in.

2-2 is not a bad record in mma and now that he ko'ed street sensation kimbo, seth's stocks just rised look at Mir, he got lucky and submitted Lesnar and it won him a couch spot in the new Ultimate fighter season

Its been an entire year of Kimbo this, and Kimbo that, well after losing Ken and Frank Shamrock theyre forced to scrape somebody off of the bottom of their own undercard, and he sparks Slice in 14 seconds
