Some more oldies.
Great love songs...
When singing and having a hit meant you were talented.
Not like today just about anybody has a hit.

damn wesrman, you are on the ball tonight, that did not take long. figures you'd pick clapton jammin with someone else. speaking of which, did you see that version of Little wing I posted woth Clapton and Sheryl Crow, whom he boned I heard, along with that very same someone on Sax?
Ya its from the same concert. I have the DVD..lol. Great version of little wing, but it reminds me of sad times so i dont listen to it very often. Its Greg Sanborn on sax BTW.
And ya i always pic Clapton tunes cuz no one else even comes close imo. I listen to him every day and i have for years. For some reason i just cant seem to get enough.
Heres a few others from that DVD:

Thatnks for the Clapton/Sanborn vids, I'll check them ou later. I beg to differ on your "noone else comes close" comment. Noone comes close to Jeff Beck for creativity, and no-one comes close to Johnny Winter for speed and fluidity combined with badass tone. Clapton is smooth and stylish though, and probably is the best lyricist of the guitarists I have mentioned. 461 Ocean Boulevard is his best studio album, and E.C. was here is his best live blues album.
p.s. Sorry CMM if we have corrupted your "not your typical music thread"

Ec Was here isnt even close to as good of a blues album as From the Cradle, The Beano album, Sessions for Robert J or Riding with the King, but W/E its all opinion. All of which i like much better than 461. I agree its a great album, but most of the songs on it are much better when he plays them live and adds solos.
And for the record i think Beck and Winter both suck. Becks stuff doesnt sound like music in a lot of cases, more like him playing weird noises. And winter needs someone to sing for him, cuz he sounds horrible. Just my opinion.
On another note i just heard that Mitch Mitchell was found dead. I posted a link here:

I listened to From the Cradle once and pretty much vomited. You know what it reminded me of? Eric Clapton trying to sound like someone else. nuff said. and in case you hadn't noticed 461 is not a guitar album. The emphasis is on singing. Beano is claptom playing guitar in Mayall's band right? Eric Clapton is god and all that nonsense?
Beck and Winter suck? You are full of shit. neg reps coming your way. This is the end of our "discussions" unless you tell me you are joking. Goof
