    Thoughts? Demetrius Andrade looks to me like the next big thing. He's yet to have a pro fight as he just returned from the Olympics but what do you guys/gals think?

    Well for those who didn't get to see him in the Olympics, he will make his pro debut next Thursday, October 23rd, on Versus, in a 4 round fight against one of those talented TBA fighters.

    You might be able to give a better opinion after seeing that.

    The most impressive fighter out of the USA team IMO, and i felt he got robbed vs that Korean guy aswell. Andrade is a southpaw he has good skills, puts punches together well for certain you americans should be watching out for him he will make alot of noise.

    Everyone in the Olympics fought like Calzaghe -.-;
    I couldn't stand to watch anymore of the terrible scoring and what imo was just sad fighting.
    I'll be looking forward to his debut though, i'll take your guys word for it.

    Yeah well TBA is a tough SOB.....He has more fights against pro debut fighters being hyped for thye media then any other fighter nin history....

    For some reason the guy always seems to lose.....But Damn it he takes the fights!!!!

    Seriously though I agree we will see after the fight and depending on what version of TBA...this debut may not be enough to judge...

    I was not that impressed with him from the Olympics.....just me

    Sounds like he is getting a serious promotional push.I have not seen him,only watched a total of 2 Boxing fencing matches during the Olympics.Lets hope they bring him along gradually and resist the "rush-rush" instant mind set.

    I don't think personally he is as good as Rau'Shee Warren or Gary Russell Jr, but he is good. I noticed that he doesn't hit super solidly or every fight I have seen of him hasn't shown me great power or punching technique, I think Warren and Russell move better, they counter better, and they seem to be p4p faster.

    Here's Demetrius in World Championship Final

    Here is Rau'Shee Warren in world championship final against the Gold medal winner in Beijing

    Maybe I am biased, I just find Gary Russell and Warren to be a lot slicker then Demetrius.

    I expect him to be a very good pro. I'm looking forward to watching him develop. I think he's going to have the last laugh over the people who medaled over him.

    I think Raynell Williams, Andrade, Russell (gets hit to much though) and Warren will all be very solid pros.
