I felt Act II dragged a little, but it was needed to explain stuff and develop characters more. It's not a pure action movie, so despite the action in the beginning and at the end, that's why it seemed to drag during Act II.

    Cloud Atlas.

I expected more from nearly three hours.

The first hour is like watching 6 games of speed chess if you sort of half know the moves but not all the rules.

The middle is like having all the rules explained after the games are mostly done.

It comes together eventually, sort of and has a deepish message. The amount of characters each star plays is amazing once you sit through the credits,so If you do see it, dont walk out till its all over.

    5/10

    I can explain it.
But I cant understand it for you.

i may watch this based on your review. although i may not have the time to sit 3 hrs only to watch this just to see all the various actors' doing Peter Sellers or Dana Carvey.

    thx!

The 1980's classic, Aliens, the Special Edition... James Cameron does a voiceover prior to Special Edition starting... he says this version was what he intended but studios at the time was looking at the length of the movie and he had to make cuts. Why isn't it called "Director's Cut" then? Wonder if it's the studios milking the franchise and the 50th anniversary will see the release of the Director's Cut.

Watched it with my 9 yr old son and he liked it.

Although one of Bukowski's "lady friends" now has a full on goatee (though she's apparently not in the circus) and that was very disturbing to see and I about threw up a few times.....but it is an interesting little documentary

Klitschko - Had not seen the documentary until last night... It's a def. a good watch. Learned a lot about both guys which I did not know before.

Pitch Perfect - Fucken funny... I strongly recommend watching this.

Identity Thief - It has some really funny moments. It's def. worth watching once it comes out on DVD.

Oz The Great and Powerful - The best film of 2013 thus far... (Still early) I have to say I was skeptical at first but what a film. The story, the colors, the characters it sucks you right in from the go. You really take the journey the whole way thru. A must see in theatres.

Finally got round to watching the Coen brothers version of True Grit yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Jeff Bridges was excellent as usual and the young lead played her part brilliantly. I loved the original and thought the new version was supposed to be much more faithful to the original novel, and would be very different. I didn't think that was the case. It's now vying with Fargo as my favourite Coen brothers film.

I think Miller's Crossing is underrated, Raising Arizona is a classic...that said The Big Lebowski is BY FAR my favorite
