Predestination. Was well done
Cold Heart and a Weak Mind
Twister, still amazingly awful as ever....GREAT for a drinking game. 1 sip every time they mention an "F5", 1 sip every time the wind affects everything BUT Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, 1 sip for each tornado that debuts.
Happy times my friends
I watched Steven Soderbergh's tribute to Che Guevara titled simply "Che" which starred Benicio Del Toro and featured a number of cameos of famous actors and actresses. It was a 2 part film #1 about Cuba and Che's rise to stardom among the unshaved & unshowered #2 about Bolivia and Che's death.
Both parts were over 2 hours long.....and yes I suffered through all of it but for good reasons (I think): I wanted to learn why people idolize Guevara, I wanted to know how these multimillionaire Hollywood elites view Guevara, and I wanted to confirm or deny my own views of him.
The movies just as movies weren't horrible at all of course historical movies even those not based in reality always interest me regardless of which side they focus on, if the story of the movie matches my views etc. I mean I LOVED 'Downfall' which was about Hitler's final days and I enjoyed 'Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas' about Hunter S. Thompson. That said, most historical movies based on fact/true stories tend to gloss over some negative things and play up some positive things, for example 'A Beautiful Mind' shows how smart and important John Nash was....it DOESN'T mention spousal abuse, numerous affairs, an illegitimate son, etc. Well the movie(s) 'Che' is likewise struck by amnesia when it comes to discussing Che's infidelity and becoming Fidel Castro's A#1 executioner.
In terms of should you watch it or not....well if you enjoy Che then you'll enjoy the movie...I just don't get why the guy is so popular
Hunger game 1 was OK
Shame - had it all, a lot of sex but was alone.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
The Nine Lives of Fritz The Cat ......wow, what an odd movie. Such a ridiculous piece of lefty drivel
