Default Lets Meet In Here Sunday The 9TH

Seems to be alot of confident backers for this fight as well as intelligent and unintelligent outspoken fans, which is great..

I have a long standing tradition after big fights, that I predicted right.. I really dont gloat and if I was wrong I ALWAYS am gracious and admit I was wrong and give full credit to the fighter if he wins..

    Ross
    Greig
    London BB
    LeftyLee
    Fenster
    Drago
    Miles
    Oumafan
and whomever else who wants to

I challenge you to do the same since some you guys are pretty denigrating toward Jones, so lets meet in here Sunday and have a coffee and intelligent conversation regardless of who wins? What do you say?

Fenster denigrating Roy? No way. I think Jones is GREAT. You can't put me in that club just because i think Calzaghe will beat him.

Ive said all along the greatest STORY from this fight would be a Jones win.

I just don't see how Roy can win other than sparking Joe. And thats not happening (famous last words).

Put me on the list because I think Roy is slightly past it, and Calzaghe just too busy for him to keep up with. Tricky start, but Joe will canter down the stretch.

I think RJJ will be competitive for 3 or 4 rounds, but Calzaghe will win a UD.

really I'm a bit hurt not making the list since I've been as dismissive as I possibly could be towards Jones chances, I think at one point I said Roy might win a round and I did so in kind of a smart ass way.

great, Jones will probably have some moments, one round was a bit much, but I don't think he'll win.

Either way I've been wrong so often before I don't have any problem eating crow if it happens again.

    As have I, my friend...

I will attempt to be here but will be out of state... I'll see if I can get on for a half hour or so...

As I've stated in other threads, Roy is an ATG and even 5 years ago would have laid the wood to Joe IMHO...

But this version of Roy is not the same man... Baddi, Henshaw, Tito? He didn't look spectacular in any of them although he did handily beat them. If Jones honestly thinks in his heart of hearts that these guys were a setup for one of the current best P4P fighters of this decade... well, I just hope he hasn't lied to himself. He is clearly not the combonation puncher he once was... He uses right hand leads as a primary weapon and seems to lack the pop he once had... Although his speed is still pretty good, how does he intend on keeping the peddle to the floor against a whirlwind like calzaghe... Jones is not the crafty slickster that Hopkins was/is... I know he has his own bag of tricks but... I just see it being competetive early but Joe pulling away much like he did to Kessler.

I'd love to see Jones win and will be backing him fight night but I'm picking the fighter with my head not my heart...

    That being said...

    C'MON ROY!!!!

I'm gonna go on record and admit that IF Roy wins I won't be coming on, while the likes of Pride and JT are great to have a reasonable debate with, many on here WILL be talking shit. Probably won't come on even if Joe wins, as it is just after a fight people exhibit the least perspective, but if I do I'll guarantee I'll be gloat free, but considering my wobbling confidence in Joe I won't be in a position to gloat anyway.
