Nigel Benn ala Tommy Hearns KO.
a Natural Lightweight fighting a Natural super middleweight.
I'd like to think that too but what Duran did to Iran Barklay say's different.
This has been posted a few times.
Scrap is doing Benns corner. Think he said Duran buzzed Benn at one point but it's not shown.. something like that anyway
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Iran Barkley was bigger than Nigel Benn and arguably was on par with Nigel Benn regarding power. Yet despite hitting Roberto Duran with everything but the kitchen sink.
He couldn't dent Roberto Duran at all the reason why Thomas Hearns won, was because his reach was too much to over come plus his height. And Roberto Duran never got close to Thomas Hearns, plus this was at Jr Middleweight.
Nigel Benn wouldn't pose those problems although a terrific fighter, i feel Roberto Duran is far too clever and far too good on defense for Nigel Benn whos defense was shaky at times to say the least. And also Nigel Benn's chin at times was shaky aswell and i could see Roberto Duran hurting Nigel Benn for certain.
Considering Nigel Benn was hurt far worse against much lesser opposition, and considering Roberto Duran was able to badly damage Iran Barkey, and floor him heavily who is bigger than Nigel Benn. And even moved up as far as Heavyweight.
In the end i see a late TKO for Roberto Duran or a UD win he would be too slippery, and too skilled for Nigel Benn. And he would expose Nigel Benn's defense/wild punches/suspect chin.
