James DeGale is expecting his professional debut to be a 'walk in the park'.
The Olympic gold medallist makes his bow in the paid ranks against Georgian Vepkhia Tchilaia, on Saturday, February 28, live on
Sky Sports.
And although the 23-year-old admitted to
Soccer AM that he thought long and hard about turning pro straight after Beijing, he was a little more decisive when it came to calling the fight.
"He (Tchilaia) has had 17 fights, he's won nine of them knocked out five, he's lost eight and I think he's been stopped twice, he said.
"But I've boxed at an extremely high level, at the Olympics, at the Commonwealth Games and all around the world, so it should be a walk in the park!"
