Smile Juan on Juan: Baby Bull vs. JMMarquez

This fight has got me fired up cant wait until Saturday, and its on regular HBO with no need to order PPV like this past saturday the economy slowdown got to me and i didnt see the Pavlik & Cotto fights. Anyhow, Juan on Juan is an interesting match up, the new breed Baby Bull taking on experienced technical craftsman boxer Juan Manuel Marquez. This fight has the potential to go as fight of the year. I also heard the Campbell's vacant belt is also on the line and has been sanctioned by the WBO if im not mistaken. I personally dont like to top Mexican's going at it but this is a business and its what boxing fans want. Can Baby Bull (El Torito) Diaz put a dent on to JMM record? Exciting isnt it? Hopefully this doesnt turn into one of those Morales-Barrera Vazquez-Marquez all-out wars in rematches and trilogies. May the best man win on Sat and move on to represent the lightweight division as the true champ. Im going for Houston's Baby Bull Diaz to win in front of his home crowd. Dont know much about Chris John but thats going to be a good undercard fight in meeting Rocky Juarez, i woulda still liked to see Steven Luevano fight Rocky Juarez.

Looking forward to this one, JMM's superior boxing skills are really going to be put on display. Diaz is always exciting though. Really looking forward to this one.

JMM by wide decision. He'll break babybull's spirit just like Nate did.

What the heck are you saying.... Diaz, had a cut over his eye and still managed a split decision. I'd say that is the opposite of loosing ones heart!

And Juan is 100% guaranteed to win this fight...hahaha man that's lame...

this is gonna be a good fight too bad il have to miss it. Im gonna roll with the Baby Bull on this one his hand speed should get him a SD but im sure JMM is expected to win which he might.

Diaz was trying to hang on with his dear life.

And SD? That should've been a UD. That was almost a highway robbery.

Seriously, I think your right JMM is going to get another "L" with this one. I'm telling you guys, JMM is headed downhill and we should all get a good look at at that in this fight.

JMM style is all wrong for Diaz. Diaz always moving forward but no Power to discourage JMM to counter. JMM will pepper him with Jabs & uppercuts & counter shots.
I Pick JMM by TKO on cuts around rd 10.

I dont think hes heading down hill just yet. He still has atleast 5 more good fights left in him.

As for the fight I still think JMM will win but it wont be that easy. But i will be rooting for Baby Bull come saturday. damn i hate having mixed feelings about fights.

I'm very torn about his one. Sometimes I think Marquez will box circles around Diaz but sometimes I think Diaz will be firing on all cylinders and his workrate will smother Marquez. As of right now I think Diaz will have some success but as the fight goes on, Marquez' experience and counter punching will not allow Diaz to do what he wants on offense.

Whoever had Juan Diaz winning that fight against Nate Campbell is out of their mind. Nate controlled the tempo and made Diaz uncomfortable the entire time. That split-decision was crap. It had UD written all over it.

Campbell showed one way to defeat Juan Diaz and that's to beat him on his own game... come forward, put a lot of pressure, throw hundreds of body punches and lots of inside fighting...

Will JMM do this?? I don't think so and I'm not sure if JMM's accurate counter punching style will overwhelm the Baby Bull...

Juan Diaz by decision... or stop JMM through accumulation of body and head shots...

Intesting observation Saddo, styles make fights and maybe JMM is made for Diaz' constant pressure game plan.

    Who has the knockout edge?

JMM definitely has the edge in KO punch/power but JuanDiaz has good tight defense on his head... JMM could KO him through a body shot...

Juan Diaz on the other hand has not much KO power but made some tough opponents (Freitas, Julio Diaz) quit on their stool through accumulation of punches...

Is it this coming saturday? i was absent for almost a month.

JMM vs Diaz. I'd pick JMM for his counterpunching. TKO before round 10.
