Default Darren Barker v Darren McDermott

Who have you guys got for this one? Personally I think the fight is a pointless one, Barker is a class above McDermott and I don't see why he was reuired to participate in an eliminator for the British title, Barker v acklin will be a great fight.

In this one I see Barker winning by TKO between 6-8 rounds.

Barker has looked pretty good of late.. although always looks a bit fragile to me. Maybe nothing. I think he and Macklin would be quality match-up too.

I can't remember seeing much of McDermott.

    Barker - 4/11
    McDermott - 2/1 (hills).

He's not a bad fighter, I just really rate Barker, think he'll be mixing it up at world level soon. McDermott did well against Elcock before the fight was stopped on a cut, that's the best I've seen him box, there was talk of a reatch that never happened. He's big for a middleweight, just think Barker will be too classy for him, he's destined for bigger things.

I like Barker but the acid test is mos def the boy Macklin!

I still don't know Moore and Macklin have prospered after one of the most brutal wars I've ever seen it was savage ,horrible stuff.

McDermott should provide a decent test, I expect both to rise to the occasion.

Barker can stop him sometime after the 8th.

I expect him to waste Macklin. I'm not a Macklin fan at all. His interview after the Elcock fight had me praying someone would KO him again. Barker is all class and seems real humble about his abilities.

Barker landed a beautiful right hand but he is far from world class.

I do not think he can beat Macklin. Barker reminds me of that fighter I think was called Hare, and was found out when he fought someone at a higher level.

And Macklin is higher level? Are you kidding me? Macklin is average at best. Barker is a very smart boxer and I'm certain he'll pick Macklin apart.

I agree, I was very impressed tonight and to be honest i can see Franky boy swerving this one as i think Barker is a bit to polished for Macklin, i think Barker has got a good future ahead, quick hands nice jab seems to be very clever in there.

Look forward to see him fight again.

He was fantastic last night, good to see him using the jab well and setting up everything behind it. that right cross worked perfectly all night- have to say, I did expect more from mcdermott. lets have barker macklin sooner rather than later, and then an EU shot before the end of the year.

I rate Barker higher than the bookmakers?

    4-11?

Shame I didn't know about that before the fight.

Another good performance - as said, a class above McDermott.

I thought the stoppage was a little premature, but as Barker said, how many rights did he want to take.

His eyes didn't look too focused to me. Generally I'd have sympathy but if you don't look at the referee directly when he's fucking speaking to you, you can't expect him to make any other call than to stop it.

I think the stoppage was ok, Mcdermott looked groggy and defintly wasnt all there, good stoppage if you ask me.

Master, James Hare was a powderpuff puncher. Barker looks to have a decent dig.

I thought Barker would beat Macklin before last nights impressive win. Shame he didn't get the Duddy fight (easy-ish win for him IMO), would have given him some stateside recognition.

The rela, you wont get rich backing 4/11 shots.. unless you're rich already of course
