Default Al Bernstein On Boxing: All Hail The King

A week and a half ago, I finally got a chance to see "King" Arthur Abraham fight in front of his loyal subjects in Germany.

It was a fun and exhilarating experience, but I realized while watching King Arthur beat a better than advertised Mahir Oral that the venue is not the deciding factor in Abraham’s success.

He might be unbeatable at this point in his career, and it’s... Full Boxing Article here...

Well I don't rate him quite that high but granted I don't like him so I might not be totally objective.

Just posted this in another thread and since Al was involved I'll post it here. You can tell Al's trying not to laugh and then just gives up.

I think we'll see a more active Abraham after his move up to 168. It's pretty much a given that he has been struggling to make 160 for some time now and I feel that his punch output and movement will increase with the move up in weight.

I still think he could beat Pavlik, but Arum has shown no signs of wanting any part of Abraham.

Good stuff Al.Thanks.Very glad to see him go up into a stuffed spr middle division.Thinking Pavlik should as well.

Abrahams does have a steady chin but not the sort of guy who rests on it.I think every fighter can be hurt and its when they start buying into the invincible mindset that they find a big struggle and surprise in their laps.

Don't know why it never dawned on me that was the contest you were refering to...Maybe because it was MMA and I never gave it a second thought
