That is a good comparison. Not only the fight, but also the weights. Silva coming up and Forrest supposedly walking around at 240. Although Forrest didn't really look drawn like Hatton did for the Pacquiao fight, it still might be too much weight to lose.

I don't usually write off fighters just because of a loss or two, and I'm no neurologist or speech pathologist, but I didn't like the way Forrest sounded before this fight, and after the way he crumpled, I think he'd be wise to switch to training/coaching.

I think Evans may have ruined him...

That was an interesting match and no doubts about it, Silva is on the top of his game and his head movements are seriously sick and fluid and his ground game is a A+ one.

wow! he just toyed with Forrest. I say throw him in there with Brock next

Ok. i'm being ridiculous, but I'd like to see him fight some more guys at 205 before heading back to 185.

....now I can say I finally saw Anderson Silva and I think that dude is pretty damn good. He does have kind of a RJJ aura about him. So I guess you guys can bring the tally for "MMA fighters Lyle respects" up to 3....Machida, GSP, and Silva.

I said it before and I'll say it again Anderson Silva if the PFP#1 combat sports fighter in the world.. Better than Pac better PBF. He is a complete fighter in every sense

Thats not the measuring stick.. Pac and PBF Can only box

Anderso Silva can do it all, he is a complete fighter. Despite your disdain for MMA the reality is he is a phenom in all ranges of combat

And in MY opinion, that is the most lethal of all the combat sports (have you heard of the number of sprains/dismemberments that happen in that sport? )

And yes, Silva is amazing. Amazing. Sadly, many people think, because he only shows striking now days (who the hell wants to come within range to try a takedown?) he is not good on the ground, while in reality he is a black belt in BJJ.

Lyle, you say you only respect Machida, GSP, and now Silva. Do you respect GSP as a fighter, or more as an athlete in general?
