    Default The Hunt For Gollum

The Hunt For Gollum Movie Website

This is a fan made 40 minute long film taken from the appendices in The Lord of the Rings detailing Aragorn's search for Gollum prior to the start of the Lord of the Ring, in between that and the Hobbit.

It was made on a budget of $3000!

Honestly, its not bad, if you can get over the characters, obviously chosen to look like Gandalf and Aragorn etc which makes it look a bit like a parody its actually not bad at all, and a frankly remarkable achievement to have done on that budget.

You can stream the film for free from that site and its worth a watch.

Aragorn looks like he's being played by Jesus of Nazareth though which made me chuckle a bit. He's really pale faced with dark bags under his eyes, and looks like he should be suffering in the Garden of Gethsemene or telling Judas he was about to betray him but it's pretty good despite that.

There should be more appreciation for this mini film.

Guys I urge you to take a watch if you are a fan of LOTR.

For a fan movie, filmed entirely by amateurs, for no money, on no budget it was really really good.

The costumes were amazing considering they were homemade and Gollum himself was brilliant, I actually just felt like it was the same Gollum from the films.

A slightly dodgy Aragorn (and Arwen aside) this was a real truimph and deserves to be seen.

It's better than most of the crappy films that get aired on the sci fi channel, and it's just a fan movie, really impressive.

Legion, check it out mate, made on a budget of $3000!

The costumes and even the acting was good and Gollum is great in this.

    Well worth a watch

I'll watch it over the weekend, when I have more time, and give you my thoughts then.

not bad at all , but i do have a question Bilbo.
Was the part of Gollum played by our own Kid Thunder ? it really looked alot like him. Please let me know.

I was expecting to see a picture of a crowded place with David Moyes buried somewhere in the middle of it.
