Default Behind the scenes of the new FIGHTER film

As most of you guys will know that there's a new boxing film coming out staring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg called THE FIGHTER,and just thought i'd post thses new behind the scenes of the up and coming movie. As far as i know,Christian Bale plays a ex pro boxer that ends up on crack, and Mark Wahlberg stars as Micky Ward.I could be wrong, but i do know that Bale has dropped down to about 8stone to play his part in the movie, what a guy he is!!Im really looking forward to this film.

Christian Bale has got to be the most commited actor of his generation! Have you seen the machinist? He must've been under 8 stone for that (112 pounds) and he must normally be about 100 pounds more than that

Will look at the vids later

Christian Bale is playing Dickie Eklund....I think he's Mickey Ward's half brother or somthing.

I thought Benicio Del Toro was going to play Arturo Gatti...I guess not

Been looking forward to this film since they announced they were making it. I can't wait for it to finally come out. Anyone know the release date yet?

Bale normally weighs around 185 and dropped down to 121 for “The Machinist.” He then went all the way up to 220 when that finished in order to get ready for “Batman Begins.” By the time shooting began, Bale’s weight hovered around 190. All of this occurred over a period of five months.

That right there is why he is regarded as one of the best actors right now. Absolutely love Bale.

Cool. I look forward to it.

It's going to take some work anda hell of a performance for Marky Mark to get this workout vid out of my head, as possibly one of the gayest things I've ever seen. haha

But he is a pretty good actor, so I'm hoping...

    Lol, what a dickhead

I do wonder why this film got made though, when you consider how many boxing stories there are out there that are more made for the big-screen than Ward. Had Arguello not killed himself/been assassinated, his story would truly have made one of the best. B-Hop's would also be good.

I also don't see Wahlberg & Bale as exactly like for like replacements for Ward & Eklund. I hope they actually get themselves built like fighters & box properly. That's the biggest problem with basically every boxing movie bar Ali, the actual boxing. Apparently movie boxers never learn to jab

This should be a decent film as they're both good actors and the Story sounds good too.

These guys took over Lowell for the whole summer, I went down to the casting call and there must have been 5000 people there hoping to get in it, it was insane. They shut down the gym so they could film for a couple weeks too. Im happy for Micky, hes a great guy and deserves all the best, he earned it he hard way.
