    It starts in your mid-40s when you think that the ingredient labels on food products seem to be written in a smaller text than you remember. So you start to squint. And then you realize it's more than just food labels products. A couple years later somebody suggests reading glasses and you don't want to think of the idea but eventually you give in and you get a pair. Then after a few more years they are not strong enough and you need a stronger magnification

    Ever have gout in your hand? Holy-fkn-shit! At least I think it's gout. Used to get it in the toes but not in a couple years. Woke up on Thursday, middle finger twice its size, joint painful and swollen. Can't think of a single thing I've done, no injury etc. Just poof overnight. My hands are literally my bread and butter and livelihood. Amazing what we take for granted. Shit, I can't even slice an onion or crush a beer can properly!

    Get better soon mate. That doesn’t sound very pleasant to deal with. Normally a course of antibiotics solves the problem.
