Apparently not enough money was made out of the 1st fight, hence why there wasn't a second?

Reid landed some really good flush shots thats for sure. If you were making a highlight reel of good punches in the fight itd be mainly Reid BUT as we know boxing is scored round by round and Reid took too many rounds off where Calzaghe outworked him. Calzaghe won, no doubt it was closeish but I think you need to be a Calzaghe hater to actually score it against him if you scored it round by round (like you should and like a judge does). To me it was one of those fights that if you just watched it and didnt score it round by round youd think well Reid landed most of the good shots so I reckon he won, which I guess is what some people do.

Blast from the past, but yea I was one of many who thought Reid won that fight. I was at that fight and many in the arena thought Reid took the fight. If i remember rightly it was also the same night Oscar fought Ike Quartey.

I'm obviously 100% neutral in this comment , but I reckon that Calzaghe edged it too, outworking Reid but I agree that Reid landed the more big punches, but his workrate for the rest of the time didn't quite cut the mustard.

I think the SD was fairly generous to Reid, I had Calzaghe by two or three.

Actually according to the punchstats they landed almost the exact same punches, so i don't see how he really outworked Robin Reid, unless you count slaps on the arms and gloves.

Most of Joe Calzaghe's punches wern't hurtful, where as Robin Reid was constantly rocking Joe Calzaghe's head back. I think its a bit silly to say you have to be Joe Calzaghe hater, to score it against him.

Robin Reid landed the more accurate/telling blows. As i said rocking Joe Calzaghe's head back many times and landing good body shots, i thought for certain Robin Reid edged it.

I admit im not a Joe Calzaghe fan, but that doesn't mean i scored in a biased way which i didn't. Im not really a Robin Reid fan either.

I'll give you an example i love Evander Holyfield as a fighter. But i still think he lost twice to Lennox Lewis, and twice to John Ruiz.

That's cuz deep down inside they know Joe deserved the loss.
