worst case scenario we'll get some close circuit at the MGM for hopefully 50 bucks per person.

Yeah same here, there's about 10 of us going. You reckon the demand for flights from the UK will be high? Due to it being Xmas I was just gonna book my hotel in Vegas when the fight was announced and sort the flights when I get paid in Jan. Then I saw an article online saying Virgin are doing direct flights for £500 but expect those prices to rocket when the fight is announced. I didn't think there'd be a massive amount of Brits flying out to warrant a price increase?
I'm kinda pissed it's not in Dallas to be honest as you'd have a much better chance of seeing the fight live, plus you can get direct flights for £340!!. But I've done the CCTV route before in vegas and it's still a good atmosphere and with the weigh-in etc it's still worth the trip...
Littlebif, American Airlines do the cheapest flights mate. That's if you don't mind changing, £430 from LHR. Think Continental do a direct one from Brum for around £450. Imperial Palace cheapest central hotel on The Strip...

This fight was never going to be anywhere but Vegas. All this talk of the Cowboys Stadium or any other American Football stadium was the classic smoke-screen. Ray Hatton pulled this card a few times. Once promoters start stating they are considering other venues other than Vegas, the casino's massively up the ante $$$ wise. It wouldnt suprise me if the original offer wasnt upped by at least another $10 Million.
It's good though, Vegas is the boxing capital of world, whether MSG likes it or not, and this is where a fight of this magnitude needs to be held in my opinion. The only downside is the amount of 'comps' handed out to the high-rollers, leaving many true boxing fans without the chance to secure a seat. But, it's the nature of the beast I guess.
Some people say boxing is a matter of life or death, it's not, it's far more important than that.
mgm is THE venue.
WOHOOOOO! So the fight is really happening?!
I'm pretty confused. There's the talk of drug testing, elections, purse disputes
Is the fight on or not?!

The fight has to happen or boxing is just about done. I'm waiting for all of the chatter that will be exchanged between Roach and Mayweather
Just booked mine mate flight with american airlines £520 stopping in hooters as its only over the road from mgm.going for 5nights.Flight takes 15 hours with 1 stop at philli then 13 on way back.A few mates are going with virgin on a direct flight but arnt sure what they paid.
I'm in America and i wish I had the change to go.
According to ESPN and an interview with Oscar Dela Hoya, it is not signed yet but the MGM would be the venue, an agreement would have been reached but not signed yet: MGM Grand likely to host Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. bout - ESPN
