Default Malignaggi saying what he really feels about Pacquiao and drugs!

I found this whilst perusing the boards over at Eastside. Listen to Malignaggi from around 6 minutes onwards. He is so outspoken about the issue of Pac and drugs and it really is quite refreshing to see because it echoes the sentiments and views of a fair few of us here too. Enjoy!

refreshing to hear a different perspective about the situation and hear someone who doesnt instantaneously blame floyd for the whole situation.

But they are still dumbfounded accusations and if paulie doesnt believe he is going to get taken to the cleaners over this he is stupider than he looks

Malignaggi is saying what a lot of people feel, but you know what? He talks more than he performs. His best win was against Diaz a career 135 pounder. He got badly hurt against Hatton and Cotto and for all the trash talking he does he doesn't back it up in the ring. Then he whines about the 1st Diaz fight having accepting GBP's deal knowing full well about the disadvantages.

Whatever happened to hard Italian guys like Gatti, Antuofermo, Marciano? Less talking more fighting Paulie.

paulie lost out a 115-112 decision to one of the best fighters puerto rico has ever produced who arguably has only ever been beaten by alleged cheats, got beat by a far superior fighter in hatton who exposed his lack of physical presence and got robbed 1st time round thanks to home town judging.

He hasnt let a single fighter bully him to date despite the fact he has been fighting A level opposition for 3-4 years now. To suggest the guy doesnt back it up in the ring is harsh to say the least.

The guy was never an elite fighter. Everyone in boxing and fans knows that. Are you suggesting that Paulie is an elite fighter? Hell the first Diaz fight was close, close fights are no robbery but everyone calls it an robbery because of 1 bad scorecard. The guy probably doesn't even have power to knock out strawweights. What does it say when even chinny Amir Khan is considering fighting him? The guy is quickly becoming an gate keeper at 140.

Malignaggi talks sense for once on this subject at least but he does talk too much and generally does not back it up in the big fights.

Like the way you pick the one scorecard when the other two were 116-111, Cotto beat him up Paulie gets praise from that fight because he took so much punishment and still kept coming, he is a gatekeeper nothing more at world level.

Come on now this is the same Paulie Malignaggi, that made himself look like a right tit by having his hair cut during a fight, this is also the same Paulie Malignaggi that got two gift decisions against Lovemore N'dou, Herman Ngoudjo.

He had a good win over Juan Diaz, but Juan Diaz has clearly seen better days. As the wars have already caught up with him, plus he hasn't got any business at Jr Welterweight, so lets not start hyping up Paulie Malignaggi.

I have to say Paulie is a pretty good actor, possibly after he retires?
Much better than being a gatekeeper at 140.

I don't think anyone is saying Malignaggi is an elite fighter but he has definitely shown he is good enough to fight competitively against the elite fighters. Malignaggi is a B level fighter with glimpses of B+. But this whole thread is not about Malignaggi's talent. He made a great point. What is going on with that lawsuit anymore? It will or has disappeared. And another great point is why wasn't the most outspoken and outright person about Pac and PEDs, Paulie Malignaggi, put in the lawsuit? Was that so called lawsuit a way for Pac to not seem so guilty as he refused the tests and call off the fight? I know Malignaggi committed the mortal sin of talking bad about Pac but can we not divert like always and answer the questions to his good points.

Maybe Paulie's fights against, cotto and ndou would have been easier if he'd taken steroids...

    The facts.....

Pac stood to earn 30 million off mayweather

Pac can't be afraid of needles, he has tattoos

It's scientifically proven that blood tests do not weaken athletes

The amount of blood taken is tiny

With all the above taken to consideration Pac REFUSED.

I'm not saying that pac is a steroid cheat but I don't believe he's clean either. But you can only go on the facts. He hasn't been found out as a cheat becasue he won't take the test.

Again Well said Paulie Malignaggi. His career may have stalled recently, but at least he's clean and not ducking anyone or any accusations.

I really don't like the magic man but I think that his skills are under-rated: The guy is very good, speed, feet movement, defense and a good jaw. He has one major problem though: no strength at all! I am not talking an average one, he has none and because of that, he can't keep up opponents off his face. Would he have let's say just an average punching power, some of his defeats could have gone in all another way but this lack just can't earn him respect.

    This

Mallignagi gets a raw deal because of his power. And he is one tough, tough bastard. For all the talk and gimmicks he comes in to the ring with, he is still a skilful and tough fighter.
Ok he's outspoken but most what he says is true. Like when he was hurt by herman ndoujou, in the interview he asked if it looked bad. Now that's honesty..he didn't beat around the bush to make himself look good or give excuses.
I picked him to beat hatton because i felt that he would have been more offense minded. He was too negative in that fight and hatton loved it.
I still don't think he's a gate keeper just yet.
