Default Ruiz: "Haye is a credit to British Boxing. Worthy champ"

Couldn't decide which of the numerous Haye threads to post it in so figured I'd create another!

For the record I have no doubt Haye will fight the Klits, he really does want to be unified champ. Very honest interview from Haye, admits to his flaws. Big props to Ruiz too, very gracious in defeat. He also says Haye is the quickeest he has ever fought...

Haye is the best thing to happen to Heavyweight boxing in many a year for me. He has the speed of a middleweight and hits like a fukking truck. He completey dismantled Ruiz in clinical fashion. And for me, what was most impressive is that there is still alot he can improve upon. He isnt the finished article, but the few slight pieces that are missing are easily rectified.
Some people say boxing is a matter of life or death, it's not, it's far more important than that.

Wow!! Faster than RJJ?? I doubt that but Hayes 3 and 4 punch combos were very quick and to say he had no sparring his timing was brilliant. Only thing that really stood out from his lack of sparring was his head movement, it was clear he hadn't been practicing his head movement vs a live opponent, so i can only see big improvement in his next performance, though it was a good performance anyway considering the disadvantage.

I'm really happy at the minute with what Haye has brought back to the glamour division, people are talking about the division whether they like Haye or not and he is in talks with HBO this week and is more than likely going to sign a contract with them so he may have to start fighting in the U.S. although I really hope he does fight at Wembley against one of the Klits soon I just see it being in America.

He isn't faster than Roy, watch both fight and its very clear. But he threw more combinations and he has a longer reach and Ruiz is 6 years older.

Good win for him but TBH I am tired of his endless talk....I can care less who is offended....I don't want to hear the Brit Bashing comments or Hater comments...

Haye has run his mouth from day one...Haye has talked about how great he is even before the KO loss to Thompson in 2004....

Thus far careful planning has gone into Haye's success thus far as in the choice of opp for him....At CW there was lack of anything to really test him except for Cunningham, he took a powder before a fight with Adamek could generate interest...

The win over Valuev while good because he won a title belt legit...But Valuev is a bum and everyone knows it...He was lucky and got gift decisions against Ruiz in Germany....

I would not be so hard on Haye if he did not talk so big and act so classless....Any so called CHAMPION who harasses another champion in airports at hotels etc like Haye has to Wlad...Talks all the shit he has about Vitaly then when had the opp to fight them BOTH found one way or another for the fight not to happen is not a fighter I would want to call world champion regardless of where they are from.....

I can talk shit, make computer generated pictures and claim to be the best as well but it doesn't make it so...

Haye needs to put up or shut up and if he REALLY wants to fight the Klitschkos no WBA mandatory will derail that....How many champions have given up titles to face the best and take what they have?.....To be the REAL champion you have to beat the other belt holders and claim the Ring strap...or at least beat the best guy in the division...Hell at least best 5 of the top 10!!!

    It starts here

    and ends here

Both have made perfectly understandable they will MAKE time on their schedules...

HAYE NEEDS TO MAKE TIME ON HIS

Until then he is a loud mouth trying to not only convince the public but himself of what he is saying is true

David Haye is an overblown cruiser weight.
At heavy weight, he's a bum.

Hmm Ruiz must be suffering head injuries, the quickest he has fought was without a doubt roy jones. I saw the highlights and Haye has no where near the speed of Roy.

To be fair Roy is the fastest fighter p4p the sport has EVER seen, and i'm just assuming that Ruiz was just accepting that everyone would realise he was talking as though Roy wasn't included in that theory.

Didn't used to like Ruiz, but he regularly proves he's a quality humble gent... Does not pretend he's a greater champ than he is and is humble with winning or losing...

Haye needs to step up now and silence all the critics.. Then take a bite of humble pie in his victory so that he can get a bit of respect outside the ring as well...

I must say I thought that Haye's entrance was probably the 'coolest' entrance I have ever seen. I dont mean the most spectacular ala Jones Jnr or Naz in their prime, there was no razzzle dazzle as he made his walk to the ring, just pure 'coolness' of the highest order. He reminded me of Eric Cantona after he scored that chip against Sunderland. He just had that awe, that air of coolness personified. He just looked around with his head held high, giving it the old, yeah, I'm the fukkng Daddy, everyone look at me.

Haye could have drank boiling hot water and pissed ice-cubes he was that cool. This type of charisma has been missing from the Heavyweight division for years. And it's badly needed in a division renown for being dull at best.
Some people say boxing is a matter of life or death, it's not, it's far more important than that.

Maybe Ruiz has gotten so much slower in the years since losing to Roy that Haye seemed faster to him.

Yeah I'm sure he must of meant after Roy he's the fastest he's faced. Definately the quickest with power tho
