He's a Tory, so I don't rate him too highly. The two main parties are both different sides of the same coin to me. Only the Lib Dems are suggesting anything remotely interesting to me and that is a wasted vote as they have no chance of becoming elected. Labour do not deserve to get reelected, but what alternative is there? Labour became well and truly bastardised and it's a shame John Smith died when he did. But maybe Labours transformation into Conservative-lite was inevitable. Who knows? I won't cry if the Tories under Cameron get in, but it isn't ideal.

But to vote Lib Dem means that the Tories are more likely to get in as those votes are not going to Labour. I could continue my current fascist streak and support the BNP, but that would be a bit evil and I am really not all that evil. Though I do think that thieving Romanian gypsy children should be executed.

That's an interesting question. Traditionally Labour has always been much more to the left than the Lib Dems, but I'm not sure that can be said for today nor in recent years. The Lib Dems were the only party opposed to the war and they are the only party suggesting a real harder line with the banking sector. So, if anything it just seems to me the party of common sense; especially compared to the other two dinosaurs. Absolutely. Unless you are voting strategicly you should vote for what you believe in, even if it may be the only vote they get. Every vote says something. Plus its the only way for a party to develop. So your vote may not impact on this election but keep voting that way and hope that others join you in the future.

With the system the way it is I agree no votes are really wasted. After all you're not voting for who you want to run the country you're only voting for who you want to represent your own local constituency.

Here in Torquay the fight has always been between Conservative and Lib Dem, Labour only ever get a couple thousand votes down here. Lib Dems have held sway for the last couple elections. It's always been regarded that Adrian Sanders our Lib Dem has done a pretty good job, he came out ok in the Expenses scandal as well, no mud on him at least.

If I do vote I will vote Tory however, it's time for a change and I personally don't mind that Cameron is an educated Toff.

I've never understood this idea that those who have been educated at Eton or Oxford and have a silver spoon in their mouth from birth aren't qualified to understand the needs of the common man. To me that's bollocks, go through British history virtually all the great men were from priviliged backgrounds, those are the guys who actually run the country after all.

I like Cameron, he gets my vote. I don't want a man of the people, we have shitty pointless reality tv for that, what I want is a rich toff, with connections who can actually get things done and knows how the old boys networks actually work.

A once down at heel council estate living working class hero may understand the plight of the poor, uneducated Jeremy Kyle watching family but he gets no respect where it matters, with those in power and in the upper echelons of government and business.
