Default Is Jose Aldo Top Five P4P?

    I tend to think so.

Was a bit disappointed in how conservative he got in the 5th when he knew he had it in the bag but still that was a fucking fascinating beatdown. Totally methodical, measured, not taking any silly risks yet still putting a massive hurt on Faber without even being touched the whole fight. I don't know how my score would have come out, 5-0 with a couple 10-8 rounds probably.

He became my favorite prospect about four or five fights ago but not sure I thought he would be this good. And he's supposed to have great jujitsu, he just never has to use it.

BTW that was a better card than any UFC event I've seen in a while. WEC is consistently the best organization although it seems like its just becoming the UFC now.

This is a pic from Urijah Faber's twitter of his leg, he says he's never been kicked like that in his life. Look how swollen his thigh is:

Have the UFC bought it out? I mean with Goldberg and Rogan commentating and Buffer doing the announcing it was just the UFC really.

Back on point about Aldo, I don't know if he's p4p. I mean Uriah Faber is a tough fucker but I think he's always been overated.

I mean losing twice to Mike Brown, and Brown gets sparked in a round by Manny Gamburyan, that' pretty bad.

I guess George St pierre lost to Matt Sera but is Gamburyan even on Sera's level? I don't know.

I think these little guys get overated a bit, that Cotto guy especially.

If Aldo is truly p4p let him move up and into the UFC proper and take on Frankie Edgar. If he wins that he'd p4p for sure.

Eh, Gamburyan just caught Brown, it happens. I'm not acting like Brown is a P4P guy though. And yeah Aldo, if he's on the same list as GSP, Anderson, Fedor, BJ Penn, etc then its more on potential than those guys obviously.

Maybe is he top ten P4P is the better question.

I don't know what the deal is with UFC and WEC, they've always seemed somehow connected in that Dana White always shit on every other organization outside of the WEC.

I didnt like the way Aldo didnt finish him when he had the chance, he did a lot of bobbing and weaving but never threw a punch towards the end.

The WEC and UFC are both owned by Zuffa.

So is Pride as well. I dislike monopolistic things over a sport.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends

Pride? They bought that out and closed it down a couple years ago. It's long gone. I guess the same will happen with WEC.

I think they will keep the WEC. They changed the WEC so it did not have any heavier divisions, so the highest weight division in the WEC is one lower than the lowest in the UFC. So they want to use it for the lighter weights and that way these guys are guarenteed their own show instead of competing with the higher weights.
