Question about the Scoring in Williams - Martinez

I know this fight happened a long time ago, but how in the fuck did judge Pierre Benoist score the fight 119-110 for Williams? That is fucking ludicrous. Is this just a typo on boxrec? Because if not there should have been a serious investigation.

I was shocked when I heard that score...it was one of those VERY close fights where you're not really sure who will be dubbed the winner.

I think I had it for Williams by a round. I could be wrong though, maybe it was Martinez I had winning by a round. Either way, it was extremely close and could have gone either way.

Yeah that judge was blind but steward kind of justified it by saying that judge was only looking at agressivness and who was coming forward or something...

I had it a draw but in most close controversial fights. There's always one mind boggling wide score, see SRL vs Marvin Hagler.

I had Leonard by 2 points. I cant imagine that Benoit guy to be judging another fight. I judge fights better after 500ml of tangueray than he does sober , unless he was drunk or high.
