Default A young Mike Tyson in today's heavyweight division

    How would he do?

Would he KO David Haye in three rounds?

Would he beat Wlav and Vitali?

Would he be able to stop Tyson Fury?

Been bored at work today so been daydreaming about the prospect to be honest.

I have all of his fights on DVD but I wish I was young enough to remember him 'in his prime'.

A prime Tyson against these 2010 heavweights would look like this -

    Wlad unconcious in 1
    Haye unconcious in 1
Viatli beat to a pulp in 6
Fury wins by KO.... on Twitter.

    hahah

Everyone in the division would be beat. Btw if Killersheep is still looking for Lyle he might as well stick around he'll be coming in this thread.

Tyson beats all of them. Vitali would be the most resiliant, but even he would be forced to surrender. He would eat too much and find Tyson too hard to hit. Today's heavyweights suck and they really do. Vitali, Wlad and Haye. And then....Arreola? Chambers? Valuev? Peter?

Tyson would eat all of these guys for dinner. Arreola would try to eat Tyson for dinner, but that's a different kind of thing.

When thinking of Tysons ability thats the main one that people tend to forget about, he just couldnt be hit! He was fighting much fitter and skilled fighters and they just couldnt nail him. Only when King intervened and Mike wasnt being trained properly did he start getting hit. It happened right after the Spinks fight. The Tyson that fought Spinks would have nothing to fear in todays division, other than Vitali Klitschko maybe hanging on for dear life like Smith did

Tyson would absolutely smash Wladamir! Imagine Tyson in front of him just bobbing under his dopey jab and ripping uppercuts and hooks from both hands

Mike in the Seventies would be more fun and you know what? Fighters back then got intimidated too, just look how Norton shiit a brick when he fought Foreman. Fuuck me if Lyle can put Foreman nearly out Tyson would find that chin with ease! Anyone who gets hit easy is not gonna hear the first bell against that Spinks version of Mike! I reckon Joe Frazier goes the same way as his son did, a quicker version of what the lumbering Foreman did!

I bloody love Mike. I just hope this rumour about Tyson/Holyfield III is just a rumour. It was bad enough seeing him lose to Danny Williams and Kevin McBridge - I can't deal with any more heartache.

Personally he beats most , but i think Vitali would stop him in 6-8 , Tyson had no guts.

Today's division as it stands..both klits beat him quite easily. Haye goes to sleep.

Tyson would beat them all but would get bored and run off with King and not train and get screwed by a woman and dumps his white managers and probably lose to Tyson Fury in Tokyo.

If a prime mike Tyson was around in today's heavyweight division then everyone and I repeat everyone is in a shit load of trouble. He gos thru them all, of corse wlad and vitali have the best shot a beating him, but I think Tyson knocks wlad the fukk out, and vitali, maybe a points win. of corse there's no such thing as a sure thing, but a prime mike Tyson beats them all IMO

I'm probably being a saddo for pointing this out but it was McBride, not that it is of any significance in the wider world.

    Another misconception.

Just because he was so far superior to his peers, so much so that at the time he looked invincible, that his skills were so great he made quick and easy work of a whole division doesnt mean he had no guts. Its not Mikes fault he wasnt the 30 odd year old version of himself in the 80's, therefore being more on an even keel with everyone else.

Tony Tucker, Tony Tubbs, Pinklon Thomas and even a 38 year old Holmes would walk through todays division

Red face Re: A young Mike Tyson in today's heavyweight division

I have to go with Tyson Ko-es all but Vitali. I think V Klit has some of the best boxing skills in a long time for being such a big puncher. Mike would have a lot of difficulty with a guy that can jab and throw a right hand downhill that hard. But 20-22 year-old Tyson Just don't blink or anything, you might miss the whole fight. Tyson Fury is just unbeatable.

Oh yeah, Mike Tyson was pretty good too I hear.
