    Default Teddy Atlas

Why is this guy allowed to represent boxing.

When will ESPN get rid of this clown?

I'll agree that his predictions aren't great. However, do not for one second think that this guy lacks boxing knowledge. Very knowledgeable, but betting is definitely not his forte.

Give the guy a break, I collected a bunch of his predictions at one points and he had a success rate of roughly 11% (over the course of roughly 50 fights)

He is what he is, the face of the lower levels of boxing, prospects coming up and has beens going down.

I consider Teddy Atlas to be the equivalent of those baseball managers or former NFL coaches now working for ESPN. Crap at the elite level of their occupation and that's why they have a job there at ESPN being so called "experts" and not plying their trade in the profession they love. His only notable fighter to date is only Michael Moorer, and he was knockout by a 45 year old Foreman.

None of the top boxers are asking him to train them, they are going to Steward, Goosen, Roach, etc.

Except Povetkin, who is considering going back to the ams

    Good post!

I just hate how he is presented as someone who should be so highly respected when it comes to boxing.

He is NOT a great trainer, he is just a great talker who has thick skin.
