Default Haye "challenges" Wlad to accept fight

Haye challenges Wladimir Klitschko to agree fight - Boxing - Yahoo! Sports

LONDON (AP)—David Haye has challenged Wladimir Klitschko to agree to terms on a heavyweight title fight.
Adam Booth, Haye’s trainer and manager, says a 50-50 split of earnings has been offered to the younger of the Klitschko brothers and the “path is clear” after resolving “all the old problems and disagreements.”

Haye says “we have removed every possible excuse and have shown we are serious about making this fight become a reality.”
Haye, who retained his WBA belt by beating fellow British boxer Audley Harrison last month, withdrew from a 2009 fight with Klitschko because of a back injury.
Haye said Tuesday the fight “needs to happen for the good of the sport.”
Wladimir holds the IBF and WBO belts. Vitali Klitschko is the WBC champion.

ummm isn't that the same damn offer Wlad gave him and yet he (Haye) turned down?!?

i'm really hoping this fight gets made and that Wlad stops him brutally after dominating him for about 3 or 4 rounds

No all he did was travel to Mormecks home town to take his number 1 spot and then travelled away to fight for the WBA Strap. I agree he likes to stay at home.

Im not 100 % sure but i think the fight with Harrison was the last Haye had whilst still attached to Sauerland promotions following the Valuev fight. He stands to earn even more now against Wlad just for that reason alone. I think both parties are equally to blame for this not happening yet but i think now with Haye claiming hes gonna retire next year there is no sense in him pursuing a fight with anyone other than Wlad/Vitali if he wants a lasting legacy at HW

What's that got to with anything? He's travelled to France and Germany to win world titles. I think he's proved he's willing to travel.

To be honest if it's going to be 50/50, there will probably be more seats available to be sold in Germany, then the fight can still be PPV in UK in 3D at a 3D price. Unless They think they can sell out MEN or Wembley.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I think you could argue that Haye was just maximizing his earnings by turning down that fight. As much as it may piss us fans off, he made a shit-ton of money with almost no risk by fighting Harrison. Maybe he's had a change of heart about the Klitschko fight now that his future is secure?

by the sounds of it there was a little more to it than a 50 50 split

haye got all the abuse for that fight falling through first time, which probably isnt really fair, by the sounds of things the Klits get most things their way in all the other fight negotiations
