Forrest was never the no. 1 p4p. Just because you beat the no.1 p4p doesn't mean you get the mythical title, let's make that clear. Would De La Hoya been p4p no.1 if he had beat Floyd or Manny? Of course not, same thing with Hatton.

Forrest was top 5 at 1 time, but no.1 p4p? Never.

plus apparently he smokes all the time,a recent interviewer said he witnessed him coming out his gym after a workout with a ciggarette hanging out his mouth,he must b intense in training 2 help combat the smoking, crazy guy! Lol
Mayoprga is not a regular smoker...He has a history of making it a point to be seen with not only a cig but a beer in hand as well when he is preparing for upcoming bouts...It is a mind game of his....If anyone remembers after he stopped Forrest the first thing he did was call for a cig from his team....Yet when you watched him he did not even inhale

I agree Forrest was never the #1 P4P fighter....Especially when you look back at his resume before the Mosley fight, the wins after the mosley fight and the other fighters going in the top at that time no way Forrest made #1....top 5 yes #1 no

I am not a fan of either fighter but I will go with Cotto on this one.
In fact, I am so confident of a Cotto win that if he loses I will not be posting in this forum for 7 days. Oh wait, I have already been doing this and nobody cares.

    Yes.

Now look what Mayorga did to that same fighter. Just an absolute wild animal that Cotto wouldnt have wanted any part of
I've seen both fights. I just never knew that Forrest was considered the P4P #1 afterward beating Mosley.

As for Mayorga, few people would consider him being a better fighter than Cotto prime for prime. His wins over Forrest are impressive, but that's the only victory he has had against a high-level opponent (I don't think the Vargas that Mayorga fought counts as an elite fighter). Cotto has a better resume and he's a much more skilled fighter.
Me neither. Must have come as a shocker to Jones, Barrera and Hopkins
Why? Mosley was top when Forrest kicked his ass.

.....sure let's say for argument's sake Forrest was #1 P4P, that was 8 years ago, that's a lifetime in boxing.

You specified #1 P4p...which Mosley was not.

Actually it was a David Spade SNL skit where he's Dick Clark's receptionist and they would have famous people come in to try and see Dick Clark...it was funny, at least I thought so

Ah well Peter does it as well in the episode where he loses his memory.

"I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell."

Now that was a good skit.
