this OP I made was meant to be sarcastic humor. All these posters took it seriously and tried to really say if a left or a right is a stronger punch.

I like this idea thought.
In baseball the left handed batters have a advantage over right handed batters. They NAIL home runs. ask Hideki Matsui the small Japanese HR hitter who was the MVP fro the Yankees a couple years ago in the World series.
The advantage of batting left-handed
There is truth to it in baseball. I would just scroll down and read the conclusions, but many of the same comparisons can be drawn from these two sports. Lefties have to redirect the ball less from the angle of the pitch to hit the ball, closer to first base, and a propensity of throwing their "punch from an angle that pitchers have a harder time fooling.
Southpaws have all the advantage in boxing. And the power isn't as much of a problem as the style, as many of you have stated, the punch has to be delivered. No target is immobile, especially at the elite level.
Having said all of that.. the left hook is the best punch in boxing, still. It is the one that sneaks in behind the glove and cashes out the register for the night.
Also, baseball is the most boring sport on earth.
