    Default Elbow stretching

For the next month, before I really get into training again I'm hoping to build a good athletic base, and as flexibility is paramount I would love to learn about stretches for my Elbow tendon's ec't.
    Thank you in advance.

The tendons surrounding the elbow joint belong to the bicep, tricep and forarm muscles, allthough they should be flexible, their flexibility shouldnt really effect your punching much, the problems that occur with tight muscles or a feeling of tight muscles stopping your shot doesnt usually lie there, the problem is usually the hips being obstructed by joints/limbs/muscles or possibly in the shoulders, look up some of scraps shoulder stretches, if you dont throw a better jab immediatley after the stretches then its probably your feet thats stopping your hips thats the problem, if not possibly poor posture aswell can also give a feeling of tightness during a shot.

Assuming that you can flex and extend your elbow - you already have full range of motion and maximuim flexibility.

Mechanically it's a pretty hard place to be tight... a tricep stretch might be worth doing, but even that - you'll probably not feel much of a stretch unless you are tight right after training

First of all you must never stretch your tendors!

Technically you stretch a tendon every time you move.

How would you stretch just a muscle as opposed to either stretching just a tendon or a tendon and a muscle together?

Are you saying that you should avoid over stretching? I'm not too clear on where you're coming from.

I think you're confusing tendons with ligaments.

Ligaments join bone to bone, their job is to stabilize joints. Tendons connect muscle to bone and if they could contract and stretch then you wouldn't be able to move.

You are right. I´ve ment the ligaments. Generalize i think it´s bad idea to try to stretch all type of connective tissue.
