I kinda hope so. I had high hopes for him. Maybe he should fight Collazo?

He took the money and ran, he is probably still jogging somewhere with a very healthy debit card in his pockets.

Clottey was suppose to come back and fight this year at 154. I don't know what happen but the fight didn't go on of course. Clottey said if he fights again, the check have to be healthy.

Maybe he know, he will never be consider the best so he's given up.

Clottey was one of my favorite boxers, but his showing against Pacman hurt his rep. IMO, I hope he come back. I still believe he can make some noise. I'll match him up against Mosley as a turn up, cross road fight. Then maybe a Berto, M. Hatton or Mike Jones if he can still make weight at 147. Maybe even Bradley. If he can't make 147, the 154 division will invite Clottey with open arms.
    Clottey vs . . .
    Sergei Dzinziruk
    Antonio Margarito
    Kermit Cintron
    Austin Trout
    Cornelius Bundradge
    and will like to see
    Cotto 2
and if Saul has the power to KO Clottey

Is that a joke about Mosley being a crossroads fight. Mosley has nowhere to go he is completely finished.

No. That wasn't a joke. Mosley clearly want to fight again. And Clottey don't throw a lot of punches and not a KO artist. And will be right in front of Shane. Styles makes fights. Could be a good fight.

I hate Clottey for his inept performance against Pac Man, which should be an opportunity of a life time to make even more money, not just lay down and take a beating. He is spoilt now, because he actually thinks he is worth the money he got for his performance. The longer he has not fought the less likely he is to return. He will come back and earn a smaller amount of money and probably get beat by a lesser fighter because he is not motivated enough.

Could fight Rhodes at 154 Safer for both fighters and the result could bounce either fighter back

Before, Clottey was only known to the boxing fans. They still have high regard for him even in those close loses.

After that boring fight that he exhibited, he even turned off some of those boxing fans. His stock tumbled big time.

Anyone remember seeing Clottey in a thrilling fight with Richard Guiterrez a few years back ?

The man can be in exciting fights.

But, in boxing your only as good as your last fight.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Ok that's a fair point you make, although Mosley has not been too eager to throw a lot of punches himself lately. As you say styles make fights but it's definitely not something i'd be interested in seeing.

He was supposed to fight a month or two ago but tripped on a pothole while jogging and injured himself so he had to pull out.

I'm pretty sure recently he backed out of a fight with Kermit Cintron because the "money wasn't right."

The silly sod probably thinks he can now command the same money as he got for 'fighting' Pacquiao.
