    Master,

Alexander Fu Sheng passed away 30 yrs ago from a car accident. He wasn't driving. Word is that it rained and it was a winding road on hill/mountain and the driver, Fu's brother, was perhaps driving a bit fast. 10:30pm or so, car crashed. About 3:30am, Fu passes away in hospital.

The Invincible Pole Fighter aka The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter was his last film, he was supposed to be the star, filmed half of the movie and accident happens. The 2nd half of the film focuses on Gordon Liu aka Master Killer.

Not sure if members recognize the star of Story of Ricky. He's Louis Fan Siu-wong.

Louis Fan played Jin Shanzhao in Ip Man 1 and 2 (the Northern master who went to Foshan and challenged the southern masters including Ip Man/Donnie Yen)

Despite Jackie Chan in it, we didn't like it as much as the original when we watched it some time ago, was it 2 yrs? whenever it came out.

Yes the original will always have a place in our hearts but my kids loved this version and they have seen clips of the old version particularly the wax on wax off scenes.

I didn't like The Karate Kid remake either. Although it's pretty understandble considering, for the original, I can still remember my big sister taking me and my friend to the cinema and afterwards looking in a yellow pages for a Karate school

Still love that film to this day.

It's not my favorite but it's a Ninja movie that got overshadowed by Ninja Assassin..

    Ninja starring Scott Akins

Watched last night with Stickgrappler Jr., Jet Li's Fearless. Later his older sisters and mom joined in.

after wife went to sleep, i showed the opening scene of Legend of the Fist: Return of Chen Zhen with Donnie Yen. explained that Chen Zhen was a student of Huo Yuanjia, the character Jet played. Coincidentally Jet played Chen also in Fist of Legend, remake of Bruce Lee's Chinese Connection. we watched Legend of the Fist a few yrs ago, but my kids don't remember, told them after they went to sleep that night, i watched the opening scene 5x and couldn't sleep. daughters asked why not and my 10 yr old son said, "just look at him, he's so cool!"... there's hope for my 10 yr old son yet! watching Testosterone-fuled movies with my son is working!!!!

thinking we will be watching Fist of Legend tonight

Watched Jet Lee Fearless yesterday but my sons were scared of the brutal fight in the restaurant. My sons may go the other way.
