within the context of aikido, he has legit high-level skills. can he bust out moves now with that big fat gut? maybe... but within aikido, he has skillz
put lyoto machida or anderson silva against him with mma rules, i don't think anyone would doubt the outcome
i have some respect for his skills with the addendum of 'within aikido context'

No retreat no surrender, king of the kickboxers, bloodsport and fist of fury 2
Watched Ashes in Time, very deep and meaningful film but very slow.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Bruce was the best.
Jackie Chan though is the one I grew up on.

Happy 45th Birthday Shannon Lee!
Posted to my site, but didn't get a chance to post here. This past Saturday, it was Shannon Lee's 45th Birthday! And if you don't know who Shannon Lee is, I don't know what to say to you. LOL
Made some GIFs in her honor.
Enjoy 3 more GIF's here:
Happy 45th Birthday Shannon Lee!! (Enter the Eagles GIF Set 1) ~ Stickgrappler's Sojourn of Septillion Steps
As for the movie, Enter the Eagles, it was AFAIK the only HK movie she made. Starred Michael Wong (brother of Russell Wong [Vanishing Son tv series/China Girl movie]) and it was entertaining - even had Benny the Jet (in Jackie Chan's Wheels on Meals and Dragons Forecer) in it. Shannon fights him - will make GIFs of that fight. She didn't speak Cantonese iirc. Her lines were all in English.
From wiki:
Professional thief Martin (Wong) is assigned to steal the largest diamond in the Czech Repbulic, the Czar's Prism for $3M. Needing extra help, Martin brings in his former partner Mandy (Lee), an excellent sharpshooter with lethal martial arts skills. Together with two young pickpockets, the group sets out in an adventure of espionage, double crossing, and explosive action.

It was all over the place, auteur Wong Kar-wai was being, well, an auteur. Mainstream HK audiences didn't "get it" and had no patience for it
That's why, it was interesting that Wong made The Grandmaster pretty commercial and the HK audiences took to it bigtime.
AOT was based on Louis Cha's famous Condor Heroes novels. That story has been remade many many times. One of the most popular versions was from the early to mid-1980's HK TV.

OMG.. I thought The Raid 1 was the best action movie ever but part 2 is even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sequels rarely surpass the original but this is one of the few that does..
THE RAID 2 is the the most intense action fuckin movie of all time..
Once you watch THE RAID, every american action flick is going to look corny to you.. THE RAID just raised the standard to a whole different level..
Rambo 4 and The Punisher War Zone might be able to compete but not really..
Punisher: War Zone is one of my favorites. My buddies dragged me to that when it was in theatres and I wasn't looking forward to it because I figured it was going to be another corny superhero movie.
Then in the first 10 minutes he gunned down a house full of mobsters in cold blood and chopped some old lady's head off.
