Default IMO Alvaro Perez took a DIVE

    1. Upon hitting the canvass from a phantom left hook---you can watch it a hundred times and still see clearly the left hook did NOT in fact even GRAZE the chin---Perez then proceeded to look quite alertly and interestedly to his corner at 1:40 of the round.

    2. ........a quick nod to Perez who, upon seeing the signal, turns his head back

    3. Perez then beats the count---he hits the canvass at 1:45 and is clearly up at 1:36.5, a full one second or even 1.5 seconds before 10-count.

    4. He doesnt stagger or appear off balance or hurt in any way.

    5. He doesnt even protest the stoppage.

Anyone who thinks this wasnt totally fixed is still waiting for the tooth fairy to put a shilling under their pillow.

I gotta admit it does look a strange one...though I could only find footage shot from behind Perez so damn hard to see if the punch connected or how well it did. Though the way he acts afterwards is very odd indeed.

Why would he have to fake a lose when it's refs out there that's going to cheat anyway?

ref did his job properly. but why the fight was waved off is #6 I forgot to add above.
why does a ref wave off a fight at 8 1/2 count? He didnt even ask the fighter if he was OK to continue. Are you telling me Perez was so totally fOcked up at that point that the ref decided "Oh shite, he could get killed if I let this continue!" ?

This was the clearest fix I've ever seen.

lol.. It's funny to me whenever a C level fighter gets accused of taking a dive..

He knew in his heart that he's in for a horrible beating if the fight continues so he just checked himself out.. What's wrong with that? IT's not like he had a chance from the beginning so he was being smart. Might as well just save himself from unnecessary punishment..

the fight was going along it wasnt yet any kind of mismatch. yes perez lost both rounds prior and was about halfway thru the 3rd when this phantom hook was launched. was it really enough time for him to decide to quit right there?

slow motion replay at the 12:20 mark.... one baby punch connects, missed the other three. looks like a dive to me.

it is absolutely a dive and he should not receive his purse. hard to believe montiel was not in on this arrangement as well.

monteil doesn't look upset, but he isn't thrilled with the knock down. he takes a deep breath at 12:36 then looks to his corner and i read his facial expression as "oh, so we paid for this win? ...really?"

abso-FOCKING-lutely. Check out Perez's look while he's on his back at about the 5 count, he looks back to his corner to get the OK signal that enough late money had been placed on this outcome, so he should stay down and out. His eyes are as clear as day, he is not hurt in the least.
