Modern Warfare 3

Anyone got/ getting it?

I'm weighing up getting it tonight, but friends of mine have told me to get Battlefield 3 instead.

Thoughts?

CoD is for kids, Just wish they would bring out another Rainbow6, far better game IMO.

Depends what format. On PC Battlefield is now a pain in the ass and requires you installing EA's ORIGIN instead of steam and apparently it sucks.The game tho is essentially sound. I loved Battefeild 2 so may get it on PS3 this time. I was so dissapointed with black ops but am undecided on MW3 i loved MW2.

Survival mode is fantastic, and Kill confirmed is a fantastic game mode that minimizes the camping and kill whoring with killstreaks.

MW3 has put a lot more emphasis on leveling up, then combat record type performances like BO.

I don't play it enough to be the best, but I'll hold my own and be in the top half of the score board at the end of the match.

I'm normally on after 12am.

What's the game like then fellas? Worth getting? I was told that if you pay an additional £35 you get a year's worth of DLC for the online play. I didn't want to pay £35 on top of the £40 for the game, and as the online play was my favourite aspect of MW2 I figured that it would probably be limited in some way to encourage people to pay the extra money for future content. So I probably won't get it until I hear otherwise.

I hated Black Ops couldn't even bring myself to finish it, but i loved MW2 and the previous COD's. Will i like MW3? is the single player story any good ?

i got it and am liking it, i don't feel the same intensity as black ops but probably because i am still getting used to the maps, as far as campaign mode goes it wasnt as good as previous titles, but i guess a good conclusion to the modern warfare story

Yes the single player story is good, it carries on where MW2 left off. And it even ties in with MW1 although i won't tell you any spoilers

Dude it always tied in with MW1... there's just a couple of seconds worth of cut scenes reminding you of this.
