Fox 2 UFC Event Evans v Davis

Just been catching up on some news and noticed this fight has been added to the fight card
MMA News - Rashad Evans Vs. Phil Davis Booked For UFC On Fox 2

Davis has been out for a while now with injury, this is some fight for his first one back!!
The card is looking good alerady !
I can see this fight been for the purists of wrestling. In saying that when ya get two top wrestlers going against each other it can lead to great stand-up fight.
I have always liked Davis, he does remind me alot of Jones for his wrestling ability, and reach is only bettered by Jones. Already looking forward to this card!

I think Davis has much more upside than Rashad but still seems too raw particularly with the long layoff. Rashad's striking looks real good against average punchers (Tito) but against good strikers he can get owned (Rampage). I expect at this point he can strike better than Phil and his wrestling is more than likely on par w/Davis. Phil gets the nod on athleticism but barring he has stepped up a level while on the shelf I think Rashad grinds out a UD with a couple scare mixed in.

Rashad is going to smash him. Davis is a good fighter and i believe in a few years he will but a real force but right now in his career he doesn't have the tools or experience.

Fighters Only received official confirmation today that bout agreements are signed for the two to meet at the UFC on FOX event taking place on January 28th.
The fight will form the co-main event of the evening, with Rashad Evans and Phil Davis in the headline main event slot.
