    Default Fighting with your feet

Which fighter that fought (or fights) in the pocket has the best feet? I am talking about guys that control spacing, create angles and use their feet to pivot out of trouble. I am not talking about runners. Pacquiao is known for his feet but he seemed to create fewer angles in the recent Marquez fight. JMM is actually a good example of what I am talking about but give me some other specific examples. Willie Pep had unbelievable feet but I am talking more about more subtle movements (not that Pep wasn't subtle but I think he had a gift) and heavier, more flat footed fighters (guys that sit down on their punches) Also, Scrap, give me some good foot work drills if you would. I would appreciate it. I am talking about middle weights, super middles and light heavies here.

Got two pieces of pipe today, tried it on a hard surface, then checked back and saw you had a mat. I'll try to master it before I show it to my guys. Thanks.

Scrap, do you think that a majority of your skill work should be devoted to shadow boxing/mitt work, opposed to heavy bag/ sparring? Than you.

Theres a Niche for everything, its how its done. Idea is to develop Body Skills, first and foremost, of when and why, Flight or Fight. There is not enough Time spent on Skill Work, as there should be, Boxing is an Art Form is it not.

What and where can we turn for resources, other than years and years of personal experimentation? I would love to have an online resource for skill work. Thank you.

Played around with it and I think I get it. Small weight shift, move the unweighted foot by pushing off with weighted foot, kind of like in....boxing. (Granted, it's more intuitive than that but I think that is the mechanics of the movement). Forwards being easier than backwards. If your feet get too wide= no good.
