good article on khan being overrated here. Amir Khan: Boxing's "Cleanest" Fighter!!
I stopped reading after the first paragraph where it said Khan was being built up as the man to take over from Floyd and Manny.
I hate these retarded posts that start from a straw man mistruth and then prove the mistruth to be false.
Let's go through it. What boxing experts have ever said Amir was the man to replace Floyd and Manny and could beat Floyd?
Let's look at another point. Amir was being hyped as the next boxing superstar.
Again this is a stupid statement. Superstardom is rarely based soley on ability alone, in any sport or profession, in fact the two often don't go hand in hand.
Amir Khan IS one of the biggest stars in world boxing. His worldwide appeal is simply much much higher than any other fighter at 140lbs. That's a fact.
Is Megan Fox one of the world's best actresses? Was Anna Kournakova onw of the worls greatest tennis stars? Nope. Are they superstars in their proffessions? Absolutely!
Khan has never been regarded by serious boxing experts as the man to beat Floyd Mayweather. He is on HBO and massively talked about and popular because he IS a boxing superstar. People talk about him. You are talking about him. The silly poster of that crappy article is talking about him. Everyone talks about Amir Khan, because he is one of the biggest stars in the sport.
Being a star, and being able to beat Manny and Floyd are not in any way linked.
I didn't realise it was a comparison to Hatton. Brilliant. Hatton built up a fan-base because he attached himself to a well supported but ultimately, a bit shit (at the time, not now ) football team. Khan showed in the Maidana fight that he has just as much as heart and guts as any other fighter out there.

Peterson on the fight and on who is better between Khan and Bradley. BOXINGTALK : EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: LAMONT PETERSON
I like the way Lamont sounds in this interview, confident but not cocky or disrespectful, it's worth remembering that not many were giving Peterson much of a shot at winning.
They say winning a title is like giving your career a shot of adrenalin, so I like Lamont's chances if there's a rematch.
