I somehow lost interest in the NBA especially with the recent lock-out.
Also because my favorite team, the New Jersey Nets, went from a championship contender (in the Jason Kidd era) to a 'basket case'.
Yep it sure does.
Lockout was horrible, glad it's over.
Nets have alot of young talent and acquired Deron Williams last season.
They are also in the running for acquiring Dwight Howard this season.
You shouldn't turn your back on them because they suck right now.
My observations from the first day:
Miami's really good. But the pressure on them is going to be obviously intense. Especially with Lebron.
I'd be pretty shocked if Miami and Chicago weren't the top two teams in the East. New York may be better but not as good as those two. Boston, meh. 3rd or 4th.
I love OKC. Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, Harden.
It's pretty clear the good teams that haven't had a lot of turnover are ahead of the curve because of the lack of practice/preseason. OKC, Chicago (Rip Hamilton is the only real addition), Miami, etc. Dallas looks like a mess with all the changes but they should be able to work it out to some extent.

Nice to meet another Heat fan on this board.
We have alot better depth this season than last year with the addition of Battier, a healthy Udonis Haslem, Norris Cole, etc.
Miller and Curry should be back soon also.
A healthy Miller with his versatility ( rebounding, ball handle, shooting, etc) will be nice to get back. Only problem with him is his health, guy is always hurt lol.
Curry is a low risk high reward player. I think he can contribute with his scoring down low but not a very good defender or rebounder considering his size. Maybe he can improve on that once he get's his conditioning up to stratch.
Nice to see Spo making adjustments to our offense this season like playing Bron in the post, playing at a faster pace, etc.
I still think we can be alot better offensively though given our talent.
Defense doesn't need improvement imo, spo has great defensive schemes.
