Arrow Pac vs Floyd - let's do the math

Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Saragosa has ordered Mayweather to surrender and begin serving his 90 day jail sentence Jan. 6. During his first week in jail, Mayweather would have about an hour a day out of his cell with access to an exercise yard and depending on his behavior, he could later get several hours a day for exercise with other inmates.

It's possible that Floyd could get 30 days cut from the 90 day sentence for good behavior and work time, meaning that he could be out of the slammer by at least March 6th. Mayweather’s promoters have reserved a slot at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for a Cinco de Mayo, or May 5th fight against an as yet unnamed opponent.

I figure if Floyd uses his jail time to stay in shape, then immediately goes into serious training he'd have at least 8 weeks to get ready for a fight with Pacquiao, which probably doesn't give him enough time to prepare. Chances are however, if the fight happens at all, it will get moved ahead a couple months to July or August.

It would be nice, but the way things have gone for these 2 in negotiations the last couple years and now Floyd going into the slammer, it would almost take a miracle for it to happen May 5th. I'm not trying to sound negative, just realistic, I wouldn't care if the fight got moved ahead a couple months, just as long as it gets scheduled.

There's very little or no chance Floyd fights on may 5th. Unless I see him in there on the day I wont believe it.

Couldnt Floyd just train in jail? He would have a lot of free time to prepare ?

I would think you could stay in shape in jail, like you said what else is there to do, but being able to train properly for a fight is another story. I can't see Pac vs. Floyd happening May 5th, it just doesn't seem realistic when the earliest Floyd could get out of Jail would be around March 6th.

If they fight on May 5th, I just hope Floyd shows up in that big-ass sombrero he wore for the DLH fight.

If there is not the will to make the fight then there is no way the fight will happen, both are trying to cream the fight as much as possible that they have lost sight of the fact that most now could not give a crap.

May 5th is doable, that is if Floyd is fighting Charlie Zelenoff.

Other than that he would want to be 100% ready to fight Pacquiao so that date is definitely out of the question.
