I believe Donaire has too many tricks up his sleeve for Nishioka BUT Nishioka is a live dog. This is the type of fight I want to go see live. High skill level and probably decent ticket prices because lighter weight class.

I expect the Jackal to walk through Ramos on 1/20 and Donaire to beat Vasquez Jr. If the Jackal then beat someone like Shimoda or Ndlovu in the meantime and then a match with Donaire/Nishioa winner, Junior featherweight would have a heck of 2012.

Will be a good battle, I have to be honest the last time I saw Nishioka fight was when he beat Rendall Munroe and unless he has improved massively I think Donaire has too much for him. He was a very lively fighter though and I can see Donaire having to be happy with a points win. I am looking forward this year to watching the continued progress of Scott Quigg and think he can go that one step further than Munroe managed at Superbantam and get himself into a international title challenging position by the middle of 2013.

Oh definitely.. Donaire-Nishioka is a fight for the purists and this is the type of matchup that keeps me up at nights.. Way more intriguing than Floyd-Pac for instance.. Donaire-NIshoka and Kev-Burns are two fights im looking forward to the most this year bruh!!

Beetlejuice is gonna get wrecked by Rigo in his own backyard and Ill probably attend that fight live in Anaheim if tickets are still available.. Play at Disneyland in the daytime and watch the fight at night! what a day..

Saying that, styles make fights and these two guys styles should match each other well. I think Nishioka has better speed but Donaire has better power. I expect Nishioka to look good keeping the fight a draw up till around the ninth when Donaire will knock him out.

I think "craftiness" is the only place Nishioka has any advantage here. Donaire is definitely faster, and hits harder.

Pretty good fight but Donaire is a class above Nishioka.
