    Default Tender Achillis

My achilles ache after training, I do warm up and stretches and the exercise I do is just on cross trainer and bike so there is no impact on them. Yet they ache afterwards and early in the morning when I get out of bed. They use to ache when I played football on a hard surface, but have stopped playing for about 5 months and they still hurt from the exercise I am doing. Thought it would have stopped after I quit the running and football.

Any ideas on how to stop this problem?

Stretching and warm up wont help you if you have some kind of inflamation... You just over do it. I donĀ“t know if only rest is optimal...

It is only the left achilles now that I have stopped football and running and it is not inflamed but tender after I exercise on it. Either keep stretching it or not to bother stretching at all?

No pins and needles but you got me thinking with the question about which leg is stronger and I think I run properly with the right i.e use all the foot and hell when I run but on the left I do not.

If anything the right foot sleeps or feels numb after a lot of running not the left.

Footballers, get shoulder in balances through dominant Leg transfer. Shoulders are trying to balance the Head to compensate transfer, it happens a lot.

It also happens with the movement of the Ankle, because of Gait. Think your problem lies there. You need to do a lot of Stretching.

True, I do stretch but do not stretch enough.

I do rotating the foot clockwise and anti clockwise.

I also stretch leaning against the wall.

I also lean down in the sprinting position stretching the achilles

And I lean at the edge of a step and stretch the achilles everyday, even when I am not training.
