    netflix instant is great.

That's mainly why I have it, I have the basic one disc at a time plan, but I keep forgetting to even get a new dvd. I just use the streaming video for the most part.

Yes. I'm relatively unimpressed, but it's only $8/mo and we haven't had cable since we moved to Vancouver.

Netflix Canada is renowned for its suckage though, the American version is supposed to be far superior.

    suckage in what sense? Choice?

So far it's working out better than LoveFilm which is what I was going to sign back up to.

Yeah, largely choice. Things sometimes disappear too. For example, I starting watching Coupling (a British show) after Lyle posted a video from it. I got three episodes in and it disappeared from Netflix.

The picture and sound quality isn't always the best either.

Netflix seems like a good deal Missy, but here in the States I get DIRECTV, Satellite HD quality. I get tons of movie channels with my subscription, if I didn't have that i'd probably use Netflix.

Can't you get movies through your Cable/Satellite TV provider in the UK?

I'e got streaming AND 1 dvd per rental or what have you. Great thing, the streaming is where it's at though the selection is not all that magnificent. I've got plenty of movies and series to suggest if you guys would like just pm me or whatever and I'll give you something worth a shout depending on the genres you like.

The entire Swedish original versions of 'The Girl That Kicked The Hornets Nest', 'The Girl That Played With Fire', 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' are on streaming....sooo quality those movies

Yeah I signed up for the free month as well, use it through the boys xbox. The choice isnt fantastic, I dont know if thats likely to change when/if I start paying or how often its updated. I like the service though, it just needs more choice.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Choice could be much better but hell, for now it's free I can watch a bunch of stuff I let slip by as I didnt want to waste a paid for rental on LF.

    Currently watching David Icke

I've got 100 movies or shows still in my instant queue. There's good stuff, you just have to find it.

Its not great for recent blockbusters. Its very good for TV shows though. Lot of foreign movies too. The South Koreans own the kind of dark crime movie genre. Great stuff.
