Just stick with what you're already doing in that picture. Two great big fucking glasses of beer and an olive. Breakfast of champions.

Do not do it, far too dangerous to take this up as a sport.

Just enjoy life. Your time for all that has been and gone and no shame in having made other choices. Boxing just isn't going to work at 48. Read a book and enjoy a meal. Work out if you like, but have no boxing expectations. You might not even make 154.

well thx to all for all your ınput....ıts all part of my decısıon-makıng on thıs so I apprecıate ıt. Heres what we,ll do then---I wıll contınue what I am doıng wıth full serıousness for a perıod equal to a trıanıng perıod for example say 13 weeks ıs a good long perıod ıs ıt not? So I wıll post on the traınıng sıte or whatever ıts called every 2 weeks or so the progress. There ıs a boxıng gym 50 yards from my apartment and I have joıned ıt ye4sterday.
I wıll know for sure ıf thıs ıs pure shıt ıf I spar 1 round and get the shıt knocked out of me or worse. What I wıll do (for your entertaınment) ıs fılm my sparrıng and post ıt here on Saddos. Then you can all watch and laugh ıf you wıll---I probably wıll too ın a way ıf I am not KOed---but serıously I want to try ıt. Of course I am not plannıng on gettıng serıously ınjured and ıf ıt begıns to be apparent rıght away I wıll surely call ıt all off.

Why 154? Did you see some chinks in Floyds armour as well?
Nah, far be it from me to shit on anyones dream..hey, good luck man. Just be careful - being realistic, obviously age is against you...out of curiosity, how far are you aiming when you turn pro?

Surely life isn't so bad? I have to say I find it a tad ironic that, given your brutal assessments of the talents of professional boxers past and present, you think that you have any chance of making an impact professionally at your age. Even as a youngster the chances are you wouldn't have had the right stuff, so why now? Borderline suicidal life choice, but good luck.

I maintain my original argument that it probably isn't a great idea, but part of me too would love the idea of at least going through with it. Just train hard for six weeks and then get beaten up by someone. At least you can say, 'I gave it a shot' which is more than most can say. It takes serious balls to fight and to do it so late on. Everybody dies full of regrets, to have a few regrets less is an achievement.
