Default Oscar De La Hoya's best win???

Been watching a lot of ODLH olds fights on youtube and was just woundering what do you all think was his best fight? I am not saying win because he lost a few close fights.

A lot of his big fights came against guys who were way past there best and he lost a few as well and got a few lucky/close desisions.

    Whats his best fight/win

    Vargas for me!

I think he beat Mosely in the rematch which was a great win!

I too thought the Mosely rematch was his best performance. Although I thought it was a draw, considering where they were in their respective careers his performance against Sweet Pea was pretty good.

    Trinidad.

I don't care what the judges said. After 9 rounds he had won at least 7 at the least. still shouldn't have taken the last 3 rounds off, but it was still a masterful first 9 rounds.

Vargas-good win in a grudgematch. Very much wondering why Vargas's team sent him out there against Trinidad so early in his career. The beating Tito laid on him changed his entire career and took alot out of him.

The fight that got him the most attention was him beating Chavez the 1st time. I like his Quartey win though.

I can't work it like that yeh, does that mean he was Sturms biggest win? Oscar had nice ones over Vargas. Even his destruction of Ruelas was solid at the time. Handing Genaro, RIP, his first loss was solid. I thought Mosley 2 could have been a coin flip.

The Gonzalez fight. Rivero had him on the way to becoming a very good fighter, then he changed trainers and it all went wrong for him.

No he did not duck anyone. And I had him up by 1 point with Ike but it was a good fight with both fighters hitting the deck and 1 helluva 12th round.

It evened out over his career. I thought the Whitaker fight was a draw and that he lost to Sturm but I thought he beat Tito and won the second against Mosely. Unfortunately getting the nod against Tito and Mosely would have had a more positive effect on his career than a draw early in his career against Pernell and a loss in his first fight at MW would have had a negative effect. Too bad Oscar couldn't better develop his right hand or stamina in the championship rounds.

Oscar took on the best which was why a lot of fights were close and could have gone either way, but Vargas victory was unbelievable and showed his greatness.

It was one of those fights that was so close you could make an argument for both boxers.

Its too bad how he slipped under the radar as a streaking quality lightweight champ, missing that "mega fight" and still being talked about as boarderline p4p. I think the weight was too much but after getting call in terrible dec vs Lamar Murphy he had too.

I had Quartey winning by a point - think I had it 114-113
