I've never seen Price fight, but if he is any good and/or a puncher then this could well be a pick em. Wilder looks sloppy as hell to me, like a HW Paul Williams() without the output or something close enough.

Speaking of heavyweight prospects facing off, this Friday, Magomed Abdusalamov, trained by Pablo Sarmiento, who also trains Sergio Martinez and Gabriel Campillo, faces Maurice Byarm (13-1). Byarm recently gave a good account of himself, albeit in defeat, against Bryant Jennings.

Jennings is going to get his clock cleaned soon enough

I don't have a dog in this race, but, consider this: Jennings has already beat arguably three fighters (and definitely two) that are higher caliber than anyone on Deontay Wilder's resume, and Wilder was a medal winner at the Olympics, with a good amateur pedigree.

Jennings has beaten better comp than Wilder or Seth Mitchell so far.

I think Lyle just dislikes Jennings cus he's one of the few heavyweights I like.

It's about time he's stepping up. Looking forward to August 4th

The problems with Jennings is that he doesn't have much power, he pulls straight back, and he admires his work too much.

Deontay Wilder is raw, I wasn't comparing the two. Everyone knows Wilder needs to step his game up, but they are taking things slow and he's still relatively young and that's fine by me. I have a lot of questions about his skill level, but he has seemingly decent power. I will not pass judgment on him until he has given me something to judge. I've seen an entire Jennings fight, start to finish vs someone he should have had an easy time with and stopped, but he didn't.

Kelvin Price has suffered a rib injury during training and will not be fighting Deontay Wilder.

Прайс отказался от боя с Уайлдером

The fight was to be televised on Fox Sports TV. Wilder's management is seeking a replacement.

Kerston Manswell will likely be the replacement for Kelvin Price.

    Well...that's disappointing

Hopefully they can reschedule the Price fight after he beats Manswell.

Very disappointing....I was hoping we would have ourselves a good battle, but no. I think Deontay needs rounds more than anything, sure he has shown his power, but he needs to show he can box, adapt, and have stamina and for those reasons Dominick Guinn is your go to guy. He's not all that dangerous with his power anymore and he's never been knocked down much less knocked out. I once thought he was going to be very good, but after watching him vs Michael Grant I knew he lacked that killer instinct. Also completely off topic, but I was really hoping for that Mesi vs Guinn showdown years ago, that would have been a solid scrap...it wouldn't have been worth any titles or anything but it would have been a good fight because their styles meshed.

Real slim pickings for action tonight but this kicks off in a few minutes. So slim we're watching Shogun Rua vs Brandon Vera on Fox

Its actually a pretty good scrap

I can't believe we have to listen to Paulie do commentating tonight.

Surprised he didn't come in with some outrageous hair style like he does for his fights.
